USA: Telugu Man Arrested For Murdering Wife

A shocking criminal case came to light in USA as an Indian-origin man has been arrested in Bellevue, Washington, for the alleged murder of his wife, nearly eight months after her body was discovered in their apartment.

The accused is identified as 30-year-old Telugu guy Avinash Narne, who is a software engineer. He was taken into custody by Bellevue police on June 27 and faces first-degree murder charges for the death of his 27-year-old wife, Sabbineni Rajitha. He is currently being held at the King County Jail with bail set at $5 million.

Going into the details of this brutal murder case, the couple married in June 2025 and moved into an apartment at Woodland Commons in downtown Bellevue. On October 27, 2025, Rajitha was found unresponsive inside the locked bathroom of their home. She was declared dead despite medical attention.

At the time, Avinash informed the police that he discovered his wife on the floor after returning home from work. While authorities initially treated the incident as a suspicious death, it was later found to be a clear case of murder after medical examination of the dead body.

A meticulous investigation found that except Avinash, no one else entered the house at that time. During the course, it was found that Avinash has an extramarital affair with a girl back in India. Avinash has reportedly called the lady four times after the murder incident.

On Tuesday, Avinash appeared in the court and pleaded not guilty for the premeditated murder. The trail date is set for August 24.
