What Madness? Trump Says He’s Running For President 4th Time!

United States president Donald Trump is currently in his final tenure as the President. He contested three times in the election and won twice, with this ongoing administration being his final legitimate term in the office.

However, Trump had been repeatedly hinting about possibly contesting as the United States president for the fourth time. He is giving the indication that he is willing to become the President again for the third time which is against the democratic regulations in the US.

Even at the correspondence dinner last night, Trump said he is preparing himself for the fourth election campaign, which has become major global news now. He confidently said he wishes to run for the US president post for the fourth time.

But in terms of legality and logical boundaries, what is extremely impractical and not feasible in the US democracy.

According to the legality aspect, due to the 22nd Amendment, Trump cannot be elected president a third time after his 2016 and 2024 victories. He is term-limited for 2028 and it would require a constitutional amendment with a 2/3 vote in both houses of Congress plus ratification by 3/4 of the states.

This is extremely impractical and has never historically happened in the United States and no individual has run for the office for the fourth time either. So Trump might be essential provoking his opponents funnily with these wild comments more than him looking to make actual sense of it.
