Infosys Investigated For H-1B Filings? What’s Happening?

Donald Trump administration in the United States is currently on the mission of troubling the international working population which moved to the US for better employment opportunities.

On one hand, the Trump administration is cracking down on the immigration working community, while also putting pressure on corporate companies to reduce recruitment of foreign workers.

On that note, the latest developments are suggesting that the department of Justice has started to crack down on one of the biggest H1B exponents in the United States, Infosys.

The point to be noted here is that Infosys says in its 2026 filing that the Justice Department is investigating how the company classified certain H-1B employees working for one of its clients in immigration documents filed with U.S. government authorities.

Infosys says it is in discussions with DOJ and conducting its own inquiry while it also says it cannot predict the outcome for now. It is to be kept in mind that this investigation is apparently still active and Infosys repeated the same disclosure in its June 30, 2026 quarterly filing.

Infosys has been under the radar of the Department of justice for many months now for H-1B filing prospect. On top of that, several employees have been complaining that their H-1B extensions are not being processed by the company.

It appears to be that the United States administration is going to crack down on several corporate companies to stop them from hiring foreign workers in the place of American population. Companies like Infosys, CTS, Microsoft and several others could be coming under the same radar sooner or later.
