Trump Looking for an Ocean to Rename After Himself?

Maverick leader and US President Donald Trump makes it to the headlines quite often with his unusual proposals. He has once again caught everyone’s attention by saying he wants to change the name of a major ocean as Trump Ocean.

During a political rally in Tennessee on Saturday night, Trump told the crowd that the US needs an ocean and a major river named after it. He suggested changing the name of either the Atlantic Ocean or the Pacific Ocean. He pitched names like “Trump Ocean” or “Ocean of the Americas” and surprised everyone.

Trump’s suggestions evoked a humorous response from the crowd. However, it is unclear if he made these remarks on a lighter vein or seriously considering the same. This weird suggestion comes after his previous decisions where he renamed the Gulf of Mexico to the “Gulf of America” and Lake Ontario to “Lake America”.

Trump also made it clear he will not change the names of Hudson River and Mississippi River, but wants an Ocean to be renamed. Apart from bodies of water, Trump recently floated the idea of changing the state name of New Mexico to New America.

So far, no formal legal documents or official government paperwork have been filed to rename the Atlantic or Pacific Ocean, but the comments have already started major debates across social media platforms.
