Dubai-born diva Catherine Tresa is back on the big screen, this time turning heads in the heist comedy Gangers, which hit theatres today.
Dressed in a striking black top paired with a netted skirt and golden heels, Catherine looked every bit the showstopper as she stepped into the role of Sujitha. With her open hair and confident screen presence, she brought a certain charm to the chaos of the film’s comic heist theme.
Directed by Sundar C, Gangers offers a cocktail of madness, money, and mistaken identities. Catherine delivers a fun performance that holds her own amidst the madness, even if the film treads familiar territory in its storyline. While the comic moments work in parts, the narrative banks heavily on style and quirks rather than substance. Still, Catherine’s glam avatar adds energy to the ensemble.
However, not everything struck gold. The much-hyped special number “Kuppan” failed to make the intended splash, neither trending online nor creating any stir in theatres. Despite the buzz around it, the song came and went with minimal impact. But if nothing else, Catherine’s confident presence ensures Gangers has at least one standout spark in an otherwise mixed bag.
