Rakul joins a stellar ensemble cast, and her casting as Surpanakha has already got fans curious about her look and screen presence in the mythological drama.

In other news, the Ramayana trailer, expected to premiere on July 24, has now been postponed. Producer Namit Malhotra announced the decision just hours before the makers were set to take the stage at the Ramayana panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2026, revealing that the trailer will now launch globally at a later date following the team’s partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment.
