The chief minister of Andhra Pradesh YS Jagan is hell bent on eliminating the prospect of developing Amaravati as the capital of the state. He has already initiated the process of developing three independent capitals in the state.
Not so long ago, the Praja Vedika Bhavan, built by Chandrababu was demolished by the YCP government and it pretty much sums up Jagan’s stand on Amaravati.
This decision drew a negative response from many. But Jagan is showing no signs of slowing down when it comes to capital shift.
He has passed the order for the demolition the plan of the iconic Amaravati bridge that was proposed by Chandrababu during his time as the chief minister. It was intended to connect Amaravati and Hyderabad with a 3.2 kilometer long six-lane bridge.
L&T Constructions took up the bridge construction project which was proposed to be built on a budget of Rs 1327 crores. Jagan had ordered concerned authorities to demolish the mega project.
