TRS leader Janagama MLA Muthireddy Yadagiri Reddy tested positive for COVID-19. Muthireddy got tested after observing the symptoms and unfortunately, he tested positive with the virus infection and is being treated.
Muthireddy is the first MLA to get coronavirus infected in Telangana, though there are many public representatives and government officials infected in other states. Earlier, Ex MLA Chintala Ramachandra Reddy tested positive for coronavirus and later recovered from it.
Telangana state recorded 164 coronavirus cases in the last one day while there were 9 deaths. Among the recorded cases, 133 are from the Greater Hyderabad area. 13 cases are recorded from other districts, with one each from six districts and one or more from other districts.
As per the recent update, Telangana has so far 4484 coronavirus cases with 174 deaths. The state has 2032 active cases.
