Chandrababu’s House Attacked By YCP Leaders

Tension prevailed at former Chief Minister and TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu’s house in Amaravati this morning as YCP leaders attacked the building. Carrying their party flags and sticks, the ruling party leaders reached the Opposition leader’s house in nearly 10 cars.

Pedana TDP MLA Jogi Ramesh also reached the place and there had been an altercation between the leaders of both parties which soon resulted in jostling between the leaders.

The TDP leaders alleged that the DGP was also being supportive of YCP leaders and lamented that the police were not intervening even during the attack.

In the melee, TDP leader Buddha Venkanna fell unconscious.

Party spokesperson Pattabhi too lamented that the situation will be the same if the CM is a factionist.

On information, more TDP leades reached the place.

The YCP leaders protested against TDP senior leader and former minister Ayyana Patrudi’s remarks against the Chief Minister.

Demanding that Naidu should tender apology, they marched towards Naidu’s building and attacked it with sticks and hurled stones too.

The TDP leaders alleged that the attack on their leader’s house was done at the behest of Chief Minister and YCP president Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy.

Condemning the attack, TDP state president Kinjarapu Atchannaidu said that the CM turned the state into Afghanistan and that democracy has been completely crushed. The attack reflects the fact that there is no law and order in the state, he said.

Ayyana’s remarks

Last evening, Ayyana Patrudu fumed at the CM and termed him “Chetta na….”

What can we call a CM who sells liquor, mutton, fish and who levies tax on trash and even toilets, he questioned.

Ayyana Patrudu made these remarks while attending a programme held on the occasion of former Speaker and TDP leader Kodela Siva Prasada Rao’s death anniversary in Nakarikallu mandal, Guntur district. If possible, the YCP leaders might sell flowers too roaming in the streets, he mocked.

“Before the elections, Jagan said that he would keep on increasing and people mistook it as pension but after coming to power, he kept on increasing taxes,” he pointed out.
