It is known that the BJP-led central government has proposed to privatise Vizag Steel Plant. This decision sparked an outrage from the common public and the political parties alike. However, the BJP government is going ahead with its privatisation proposal.
Interestingly enough, BJP’s ally in Andhra Pradesh, JanaSena, led by Pawan Kalyan is set to hold a series of protests against the privatisation of Vizag Steel plant. JanaSena senior leader Nadendla Manohar confirmed the same.
“We are coming up with an action plan to protest against the privatisation of the steel plant. Pawan Kalyan will be actively taking part in the protest events. The plan is to convince the central government not to go ahead with its privatisation proposal,” Manohar said.
It is known that Pawan’s JanaSena is in alliance with BJP in Andhra president. Now, if he raises protests against the BJP-led central government, it would most certainly irk the BJP bigwigs which could ultimately take a toll on the regional alliance between these two parties.
It would be really interesting to see how local BJP leaders in Andhra Pradesh will react to JanaSena’s protests.
