Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation this morning on the occasion of India administering one billion (100 crore) Covid-19 vaccines as of October 21st. PM Modi stated that this is the beginning of a new chapter in Indian history.
“Administering 100 crore vaccine doses is not merely a number but it’s a new chapter in history and a testament that India can achieve a tough aim successfully. It shows that the country works hard for the fulfillment of its goals. We should be proud of the fact that India’s entire vaccination program has been science-driven and science-based. It’s based on scientific methods, entirely,” said Modi.
The Prime Minister compared the slogan ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ with this vaccination feat. “There were apprehensions over our vaccination program and it was being said that how will India and its people bring this much patience. 130 crore Indians are behind this vaccine feat and this success belongs to India and every Indian,” stated Modi.
With such a massive vaccination drive, Modi opined that the world will see India as a safe place to travel and would also accept that the country is a hub for pharma.
