West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee is making moves to expand Trinamool Congress across India. Goa being a small state, Mamata laid special focus and for the Assembly elections in 2022, Mamata’s TMC is expected to contest all the seats.
Accordingly Mamata’s TMC is doing ‘Operation Akarsh’ with full force. TMC is attracting many senior leaders in Goa. Last month former Goa CM Luizinho Faleiro ended his decades-long association with the Congress and joined the TMC. Freshly five more BJP MLAs have already given their consent to join TMC.
Not just hardcore politicians, TMC is also luring actors and sports personalities. Actor Nafisa Ali and tennis legend Leander Peas have joined TMC in the presence of Mamata Banerjee today.
“We are extremely delighted to share that Shri @Leander joined us today in the presence of our Hon’ble Chairperson @MamataOfficial! Together, we shall ensure that every single person in this nation sees the Dawn of Democracy that we have been waiting for since 2014!,” tweeted TMC official handle.
Mamata is on a three day visit to Goa and she will be holding multiple meetings in the next 72 hours. Overall, Mamata is definitely serious about giving a tough fight to the BJP in the next general elections.
