In a new highest spike in the Telangana state, 879 Corona cases have been recorded in the last 24 hours. Of the 3006 samples tested on Tuesday, 879 turned out to be positive. The chunk of these cases were from the GHMC where it recorded 652 cases, followed by Medchal with 112 cases and 62 cases in Ranga Reddy district. The Covid test results have sent the shivers down the spine of the health and medical officials in the state.
With this, the total count of Corona cases in Telangana state has crossed 9,000-mark and thus touched 9553. In the last 24 hours, three deaths were reported in the state due to Covid. The death toll has increased to 220. Interestingly, 219 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours and they were discharged. Of the 9553 total cases, 4224 have been recovered. So, the active Covid cases in the state stood at 5109.
On Tuesday, two Corona positive cases were identified at Bus Bhavan. One Chief Traffic Manager and another employee in the IT department have been tested positive. With this, alerted officials have thoroughly sanitized the Bus Bhavan. Tests were conducted to the colleagues, close-aides of the two infected persons at the Bus Bhavan. With this, the scheduled meeting of Telugu states RTC officials that was planned to be held tomorrow has been postponed to a later date. Meanwhile, a police constable posted on work at the Telangana Legislative Assembly has been tested positive. So, special measures have been taken by the officials.
