Jagan’s killing of democracy resembles Viveka’s murder: Lokesh

The Kuppam municipality elections have turned tense at few places with reports of fake votes being casted surfaced in the media. Polling agents at 18 and 19 wards caught hold of a few youngsters who are reportedly involved in this fake vote racket.

The polling agents handed over these youngsters to the police and learned that the youngsters hail from Kadapa district’s Rayachoti. At Kothapet Junior College, TDP leaders accused of providing voting slips to people who are not enlisted. Police entered the scene here and cleared the two political groups.

Reacting to this fake vote racket, the TDP general secretary shared a video and accused the ruling YCP of mocking democracy.

“This fake vote racket by Jagan is his way of killing democracy. This reminds me of YS Viveka murder (Jagan’s Babai). The electoral process is corrupted by Jagan with the fake vote racket and mafia money. Jagan realised that if the elections took place in a transparent manner, his party would lose. Casting vote is a democratic right but it was turned into a selection of a faction,” tweeted Lokesh.

The TDP leader also accused the police of being biased and questioned the Election Commission. “The police have house arrested local TDP leaders but how come outsiders were allowed in the polling region. What is the election commission doing when YCP volunteers are casting fake votes?” asked Lokesh.

Similar scenes were witnessed in Anantapur district too. YCP MP Gorantla Madhav tried to storm inside a polling booth. Former MLA Parthasarathi resisted and the police settled the issue.
