Post becoming the Chief Minister, KCR never sat down on a protest and in a first, he is going to do so tomorrow at Indira Park. Over the procurement of rice by FCI, the TRS has decided to stage a massive protest in Hyderabad and CM KCR has called on every TRS representative to take part in it.
But there was suspense on KCR’s attendance to the protest. Confirming the same, Finance minister Harish Rao added that KCR will lead the protest in Hyderabad and TRS leaders across Telangana will take part in every district centre and villages. This will also mark KCR’s first protest against the Modi government.
This strategy of KCR will definitely put the BJP in defence and TRS would certainly benefit. If the protest becomes a grand success, the farmers may believe that the fault is with the BJP and the state government has nothing to do with the procurement of rice.
Earlier in the day KCR has written to PM Modi seeking directions to FCI to complete procurement of balance 5 Lakh Metric Tons (LMT) of rice produced in Rabi season (20-21) and to enhance the target beyond 40 LMTs for procurement of rice during on-going Kharif season to 90 percent.
