Surprise! YCP MLA Meets Marching Amaravati Farmers

The walkathon (పాదయాత్ర) of Amaravati farmers has reached Nellore district and the response from the public is phenomenal. This march of Amaravati farmers garnered support of all political parties in AP (except YCP) and many public associations too.

But in a surprise, a ruling party MLA also extended his support and he is Nellore (Rural) MLA Kotamreddy Sridhar Reddy. With Amaravati farmers reaching his constituency, MLA Sridhar Reddy visited the camp site of the farmers. Not just that the MLA spoke to every farmer in the camp.

When the Amaravati farmers informed that their Paadayatra would continue for the next two days in Nellore (Rural) constituency, MLA Sridhar Reddy assured that he would make sure farmers would not be troubled. However, when the farmers asked the MLA to chant the slogan ‘Jai Amaravati’ he declined it for obvious reasons.

Now this act of MLA Sridhar Reddy turned into a huge debate in Nellore political circles. From highly placed sources we hear that after Sridhar Reddy’s visit, he received calls from YCP high command for an explanation.

Will YCP take any action against Sridhar Reddy? That’s a suspense and would be curious to see if anything happens.
