D Srinivas To Return To Congress

TRS rebel Rajya Sabha MP D Srinivas is in all likelihood to return to Congress party. On Thursday notable developments took place in New Delhi with DS meeting Congress president Sonia Gandhi. Both discussed elaborately about Telangana politics and in this very meeting Sonia Gandhi asked DS to return to Congress.

DS has great rapport with the Gandhi family and is a true loyalist too. Upon the invitation extended by Sonia Gandhi, DS could not decline and he did give a word that he would return to Congress. But we are yet to know whether he got any assurance from the Congress high command.

Post this, Sonia Gandhi through Telangana Congress in-charge Manickam Tagore summoned T-PCC chief Revanth Reddy and CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka to Delhi. Revanth and Bhatti are expected to fly to the national capital on Friday morning. At around 11 AM, DS would take up the Congress flag.

This development created a little unrest in TRS and BJP. DS has been maintaining distance with the TRS party since long while his son and Nizamabad MP Dharmapuri Aravind is trying his best to convince his father to take up the Saffron flag.

But with DS re-entry to Congress, the party’s prospects could change remarkably.
