Again, YCP Govt Insults Ashok Gajapathi Raju

Ramatheertham yet again boiled with some tense moments between Ex-Union Minister Ashok Gajapathi Raju and endowment department officials. Going into details, the YCP government planned the stone laying ceremony for the temple at Ramatheertham Bodikonda. But the YCP government failed to inform Ashok Gajapathi who is the hereditary trustee of the temple.

Without doing so, the YCP government organized everything for the foundation ceremony and protocol board with YCP ministers’ names on it. However Ashok Gajapathi’s name went missing from the nameplate but he objected to the state government’s action.

Learning about this Ashok Gajapathi reached the spot and tried to remove the nameplate. While doing so, he was stopped by the police and other officials present there. Ashok was pushed by a lady cop and the visuals showed the same and that’s a grave insult to an ex-union minister. The atmosphere at Ramatheertham Bodikonda changed all of a sudden.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Gajapathi said, “This is not a government program and it is totally unnecessary on the YCP to play silly tricks. I’m the trustee of the temple and the temple event should happen under my supervision. It’s the tradition of the temple but the state government brought its own protocol which is not at all required. I appeal to the state government to work in accordance with the constitution.”

Yet the ceremony went ahead with minister Vellampalli, Botsa Satyanarayana and others gracing it. During then Ashok Gajapathi and minister Vellampalli exchanged a few words. Minister Vellampalli found fault with Ashok Gajapathi and added that the TDP leader is committing an unwanted mistake.
