The movie ticket prices in AP is a big controversy and to resolve the matter, the state government appointed a committee. But on this controversy, AP CM YS Jagan never made a comment and in his first, he hit back at people for criticizing his government.
CM Jagan launched ‘YSR Pension Kanuka (Gift) in Guntur on Saturday and on this occasion, Jagan commented on ticket prices. “We have hiked the pension from Rs 2250 to Rs 2500.
Unlike the previous government, we are crediting/handing over the pensions to the beneficiaries on the first of every month. The beneficiary number went up to 62 Lakh in my government from 36 Lakh in the last government,” said Jagan.
“When we are doing such good things, people are criticizing this and creating unnecessary hurdles. The oppositions have politicized even the movie ticket prices issue. Keeping in view of the public, we reduced the prices and all of them who are opposing this are anti-poor. I pray to god that they should get enlightened and not stop our government from doing welfare to the poor,” added Jagan.
Jagan’s statements clearly lack logic here. APSRTC has hiked the ticket fares by 50 percent for the upcoming Sankranthi festival and this was done with the state government’s consent. When RTC can cash in on the festival seasons, why can’t the movie industry do the same?
