‘New Telangana Secretariat Design Looks Like Masjid’

The demolishing of current Telangana Secretariat has brought wide criticism from the oppositions in Telangana. Congress party leaders Uttam and Sridhar Babu questioned the TRS government’s intention and said is it necessary at this point of time.

TPCC chief Uttam further said the old Secretariat could have been used as a Covid-19 hospital considering the growing cases in the state. “KCR is very stubborn on the Secretariat putting the people’s lives at risk of Covid-19,” said Uttam.

But it’s the only BJP MLA’s comments that have gone viral. Ghoshamahal MLA T Raja Singh said the new Secretariat design looks like Mosque and Haj house. “Just like how Nizams have left an impression in Hyderabad with several structures, CM KCR too wants something on his name even though the current Secretariat can last for another 50 years. Did MIM leaders give the plan for new Secretariat design?” questioned Raja Singh.

The BJP MLA appealed to the Telangana government to change the design of the Secretariat immediately and rethink about constructing new one.

These comments don’t really matter now as the TRS government will go ahead with its demolition drive.
