Amid the growing number of cases and the deaths of some COVId-19 patients worrying the families even more due to the ill-treatment in the cremation process, AP CM YS Jagan took it seriously.
In the most inhuman treatment to the dead bodies of patients of COVID-19, there were events in AP where they were lifted to cremation areas in tractors and JCBs, while the families were already not allowed to see or perform the final rites.
YS Jagan now announced strict action against the hospitals that refuse to treat COVID cases and also announced a Rs 15000 for the last rites of deceased patients. The CM’s office instructed the officials to take up a one-week special drive to provide qualitative services in the quarantine centers and the call center number should be available for complaints.
The officials are ordered to focus on hygiene, medicines, food quality, and also the feedback should be collected on a regular basis to avoid unwanted events in treating the patients and also in the final rites of the deceased.
