Adani’s Wife To Get YCP Rajya Sabha Ticket?

In June, four seats from Rajya Sabha in Andhra Pradesh quota will get vacant. Now this is a hot debate in the ruling party and there is anticipation among the leaders. The YCP insiders say that Jagan will look into community equations and allot the seats giving prominence to the respective communities.

And from highly placed sources we hear that Jagan may offer one ticket to business tycoon Gautam Adani’s wife Priti Adani. This would be a total surprise if it happens. Earlier CM Jagan offered one Rajya Sabha seat to India’s richest man Mukesh Ambani’s friend Parimal Nathwani and now it’s the turn of Adanis.

If these reports are to be believed, by doing so Jagan is ensuring to maintain cordial relationship with India’s big businessmen but it would have been much better, if Ambani and Adani show their generosity by investing in AP which will boost the state’s image.

And with respect to the other Rajya Sabha seat, YCP’s mouthpiece Vijayasai Reddy is most likely to be retained. But Jagan is also in thoughts to send a senior leader from UttarAndhra region and this representation in Upper House, would work in YCP’s favour. The senior in Jagan’s mind is Botsa who is currently a cabinet minister and YCP insiders believe that Jagan will call for a cabinet expansion and seniors would be shown doors to work for the party.

Minority community quota is also being considered by Jagan. Recent reports suggest that Telugu actor Ali is in race and he was called by Jagan and talks were held. Jagan has to balance a lot here but he seems to be pretty much clear on how to deal with it.

The four Rajya Sabha MPs whose tenure will end in June are Vijayasai Reddy and from BJP it is Suresh Prabhu, TG Venkatesh and YS Sujana Chowdary.
