In the last week to ten days, the mysterious murder case of YS Vivekananda Reddy has taken many turns. The following events pointed all figures on Kadapa MP YS Avinash Reddy and there were reports that the CBI might call Avinash Reddy for questioning.
Making these reports true, a team of officers of the Special Crimes Third Division under the CBI headquarters in Delhi along with several chief officers reached MP Avinash Reddy’s residence in Pulivendula on Friday morning.
After reaching, the team of CBI officers attempted to serve notices but Avinash Reddy and his father Bhaskar Reddy declined to accept them. With the MP not ready to take the notices, the CBI team approached a local court for its intervention or approval. If the local court in Pulivendula considers the request of the CBI, then Avinash Reddy will have no other option than to accept the notices and once the notices are acknowledged, Avinash Reddy is bound to appear before the CBI.
As part of the investigation the CBI questioned 207 persons in this case and recorded the statements of over 100 people. Testimonials of Viveka’s followers, house maid and relatives of YS family reveal that Avinash Reddy tried to destroy the evidence, cleaned the blood stains at the spot and with private persons, Viveka’s head was stitched. Avinash was also the first person to have informed the media and YS family members that Viveka died of a heart-attack.
CBI believes that Avinash holds key information related to Viveka’s murder and in case he opens up, the suspense is certain to end.
