YCP’s mouthpiece Vijayasai Reddy who is also the party’s in-charge of Uttarandhra region is playing a key role in the local politics. Also he is strongly backing Vizag as the Executive Capital for the state and this raked up a demand for real estate in the beach city. Simultaneously there are allegations that YCP is grabbing lands from people at the behest of Vijayasai Reddy.
Launching an attack on Vijayasai, former TDP MLC Buddha Venkanna came down heavily on the YCP leader. “All over AP, Jagan led YCP leaders are collecting J – Tax while in Vizag it is VJ Tax which means Vijayasai Tax,” alleged the TDP leader.
Buddha added that Vijayasai is destroying the spirit of Vizag faster than any cyclone and partially without Jagan’s knowledge, he is doing illegal settlements and amassing illicit wealth. Vijayasai also has a hand in privatisation of the Vizag steel plant and he mediated between private people and CM Jagan in this matter. For the same reason, Vijayasai hasn’t spoken about the Vizag steel plant in Parliament despite getting opportunities.
Buddha, who is TDP in-charge for the north Andhra region, vowed that once the party is back to power, all the allegations of VJ Tax will be probed and justice will be done to the victims of Vijayasai.
Exuding confidence that TDP will win back all the 34 Assembly segments in North Andhra region, Buddha is working towards strengthening the party in the region. He has been holding meetings with cadre and leaders. TDP hopes to regain its glory.
