In a big news, the health director of Telangana state has accepted that the global pandemic Covid-19 has entered into the community transmission phase. Addressing the media about the situation of the virus in the state, the health director warned people to be cautious for the next four to five weeks.
“Covid-19 has entered the community transmission stage. From here on people need to be more cautious and vigilant of their surroundings. People who have symptoms should get tested of the virus and active people need no tests. The cases are reporting in high numbers in tier 2 and 3 cities of the state and more attention is needed,” said the health director.
Well, this is something no state’s health director has ever claimed so. Even the Union Health ministry categorically denied about community transmission of Covid-19 but the Telangana health director’s announcement comes like a surprise.
Yet it is no surprise as many experts believe that community transmission has already started all over the country but the government is not ready to accept the facts.
