Jagan Distancing Himself From His Mom Too?

Having developed differences with her brother and Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy,
Y.S. Sharmila launched a new political outfit, YSR Telangana Party, in neighbouring Telangana. There is talk that Jagan is now distancing himself from his mother and YCP honourable president Y.S. Vijayamma too and that she would quit the party soon. The speculation gained ground with Jagan refraining himself from conveying birthday wishes to her on April 19 this year.

Usually, he wishes his mother on her birthday on Twitter but this year, he had not made any mention of it. His mother and sister have been instrumental in making Jagan the chief minister. Vijayamma is the honourable president for Sharmila’s YSRTP too. There is speculation that Vijayamma would quit the YCP, after the party’s plenary scheduled in July.

Earlier, Vijayamma and Sharmila went into the public urging people to bless and vote for Jagan. Sharmila even proclaimed that she was ‘Jagananna vadilina baanam’ (an arrow shot by Jagan).

In 2019, the YCP swept the polls and once voted to power, Jagan showed his supremacy and there was talk that Jagan conveniently forgot his family members after using their services for his interests as they rarely appeared beside him. It was also said that Jagan and Sharmila developed differences regarding sharing of assets. The buzz gained strength with Sharmila opening up about her brother and launching her own political party.

On the other hand, Sharmila’s husband Brother Anil Kumar began touring Andhra Pradesh and raised the slogan of ‘BC Chief Minister’, by targeting Christian, BC, SC, ST minorities’ votes. There was talk that Vijayamma was not happy with Brother Anil Kumar targeting the minorities’ votes, as it could affect her son’s votebank. However, she remained silent.

YCP insiders said that Sharmila and Vijayamma were deeply hurt with Jagan’s misdemeanor. The way Jagan had neglected them had in fact been a cause of agony for the mother-daughter duo.

There is buzz that Jagan does not give a hoot to human relationships, even though he speaks a lot about the same in the public. If he really does not like anybody, Jagan keeps them away, even if they are his close family members.

Usually, people holding responsible positions and celebrities are expected to be idealistic. However, Jagan gives exception to himself from all such rules. He acts on his whims and fancies but the public is wondering if a man without human values would be able to brighten their lives.
