Telugu Desam senior leader and former minister Bojjala Gopalakrishna Reddy has passed away after prolonged illness. He was getting treated at Apollo hospitals, Hyderabad when he breathed his last and according to the media reports he suffered a heart stroke.
Bojjala hails from Chittoor district and represented Srikalahasti Assembly constituency four times. In erstwhile Andhra Pradesh, he worked as Minister for Environment & Forests, Science & Technology, Cooperation in Chandrababu Naidu’s Government.
Born on April 15th, 1949, Bojjala holds a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Sri Venkateswara University. He entered politics in 1989 and he was one of the highly successful leaders in the poll battle. In 2004 polls, he lost to Congress’ SCV Naidu but he bounced back in 2009 and also retained his seat in 2014.
TDP chief Chandrababu and Bojjala are very good friends owing to their backgrounds. Chadrababu was shocked and mourned the passing away of his good friend. TDP general secretary Nara Lokesh expressed his deep sympathies to the family members of Bojjala.
