Jana Sena Will Contest In Telangana, Confirms Pawan

In a big surprise actor and politician Pawan Kalyan has announced that his party, Jana Sena will be contesting the next Assembly and Parliament elections in Telangana state. After a long gap, Pawan toured Telangana and Friday morning he paid tributes to Jana Sena activist who passed away recently and Pawan also provided financial assistance of Rs 5 Lakh to the deceased family members.

Speaking on the occasion, Pawan added that due to some unforeseen political developments, Jana Sena could not contest the GHMC elections. “It was me who forced party candidates to withdraw their nominations at the last minute. I would like to apologise for it but Jana Sena will be contesting the next elections and I’m confident that the ‘Shat-Chakra’ flag will fly high in Telangana,” said Pawan Kalyan.

The Jana Sena raked up the issues of up-ing the age eligibility criteria for police jobs and also 10 percent reservations STs for this region. “I have a special bond with the Telangana region because of its rich culture and tradition. The way the women welcomed me was so pleasing and they brought to my notice about the age-eligibility in police recruitment. I will definitely speak to whomever it is concerned regarding the age limitation,” said Pawan.

On contesting Telangana polls, Jana Sena chief added that he will sit down with party leaders of this region and come up with a roadmap. Jana Sena will place candidates for all the constituencies in GHMC region while for the rest of the region, we will make sure to contest in maximum seats.

After years, Pawan Kalyan opened up on Telangana politics but he did not criticise the TRS government while his ally the BJP is assuming itself to be the only alternative for TRS in Telangana. Interestingly Pawan did not utter a word about the alliance with BJP in Telangana.

But the next main elections in Telangana will witness many parties in foray. Sharmila’s YSRTP, retired IPS officer Praveen Kumar led BSP and even Aam Aadmi Party is trying to make an impact in the polls. Now Jana Sena joined the chorus.
