In a grim milestone, Andhra Pradesh state has crossed 1 lakh Corona cases. Of the 1 lakh cases, 48,000 cases have been reported in four districts alone. In the last 15 days, AP has been recording Covid cases in thousands.
According to the stats released by the Department of Medical and Health, AP conducted 43,127 Covid tests in 24 hours, of which 6051 have been tested positive. With this the total Covid cases in the state have touched 1,02,349. In the past 24 hours, 49 deaths were reported in the state due to Covid. And the total death toll in AP touched 1090.
In the last 24 hours, a total of 3234 people have recovered from Corona and the total recovered stood at 49,558. Thus, the total active Covid cases in the state are 51,701.
Among the 13 districts, the highest Covid cases are reported in four districts – East Godavari, Kurnool, Anantapur and Guntur. All these four districts have reported over 10,000 cases each and thus the total Covid cases from these four districts are recorded at 47,951.
On the other hand, Andhra Pradesh has conducted the highest number of Covid tests in the country. The state tested a record 16,86,446 samples so far.
