Hyd: 17 Year-old Gangraped By Boys From ‘Influential Families’

A 17-year-old in Hyderabad was allegedly gang-raped by five boys of the same age inside a car at a deserted place in the city last Saturday. The accused are said to be belonging to politically influential families in the state. An MLA’s son is also believed to be part of the group, but the police say he is not involved in the gang rape.

The teen was picked up by a boy who befriended her at the pub and he said he would drop her at home. There were four other boys along with him in the car and they took turns raping the girl while others stood guard outside the car. The MLA’s son reportedly got off the car before the assault.

The girl was then dropped at the pub and she called her father. The girl’s father noticed injuries to her neck and learned about what happened before filing a rape case. The police initially registered a case of ‘outraging modesty’ but later filed a rape case, based on the details.

The police seized a red Mercedez Benz sedan which is allegedly involved in the incident along with an Innova vehicle.
