Jana Sena Pressuring BJP’s Nadda On CM Candidate!

BJP National President JP Nadda is on a two day tour of Andhra Pradesh and on the other hand, the party’s ally Jana Sena is pressuring Nadda to announce a name for the CM chair. No secrets here as Jana Sena wants Nadda and the BJP to announce Pawan as CM candidate.

Janasena leaders have held placards announcing Pawan’s name as the chief ministerial candidate at media conferences and they sent a strong message to Nadda, the national president. Despite the pressure from Jana Sena, BJP has set this issue completely aside and is fully working on making Nadda’s tour a success.

No matter how much pressure Janasena leaders put on BJP leaders, they are retorting that they would announce the ally CM candidate when the election notification would be out and till then, this matter can rest.

However, Janasena leaders are holding media conferences and demanding Nadda to make a clear cut statement on CM candidate at the earliest. Perhaps these demands are likely to gain further momentum on Nadda’s second day tour of AP. It seems that a big dispute is going on between the allies on the same issue.

BJP national secretary Satya Kumar claimed that there is no such tradition in the saffron party to announce a name for the CM chair among the allies. If we recall, BJP had announced Nitish Kumar’s name for CM chair during the Bihar elections. Probably Satya Kumar just go back in time and recollect what BJP resorted to during the Bihar polls.

Meanwhile Janasena leaders have strongly warned that they will not ally with the BJP if the party doesn’t declare the CM candidate by the end of Nadda’s tour. BJP’s Satya Kumar describes this as blackmail politics and such things do not work here. The national secretary alleged that Chandrababu Naidu and Pawan have fallen into the YCP trap and it is strange that what has YCP got to do with the verbal war between TDP-BJP-Jana Sena.

Rather than throwing the blame on YCP, both BJP and Jana Sena should sit down and hold consensus on the CM candidate and come to an amicable solution that can benefit both the parties.

While all this is happening, Nadda and the BJP core committee met and discussed the latest political developments in AP. It is unclear whether they had a word about Jana Sena’s proposal on chief ministerial candidate. There is a curiosity among the JSP leaders and they are eager to know what the BJP has in store.
