Double Engine sarkar (government ) is often used by the BJP and they have set their eyes on Telangana. Recently when PM Modi was in Hyderabad, he added that the dynasty rule by TRS in Telangana will come to an end and BJP will form the next government in the state and post this the state will benefit from ‘Double Engine’ sarkar.
Obviously the comments of Modi did not go down well with TRS party and its Working President KTR is taking a swipe at ‘Double Engine’ comment every other day. Freshly KTR cited RBI’s report, October 2021 that Telangana with 2.5 percent of Indian population contributes 5 percent to India’s GDP.
“What the country needs is “Double Impact” governance, Not futile Double Engines,” added KTR in the same tweet. This tweet from KTR also came after the Telangana government inked a huge investment deal worth Rs 24,000 crore with Rajesh Exports. This is one of the largest investments in the high-tech manufacturing sector in India and biggest investment Telangana attracted after the separate statehood was achieved.
KTR is also indirectly sending out signals of KCR’s new national party that has been in news over the last few days. On Sunday political strategist Prashant Kishor and ex-MP from AP Undavalli Arun Kumar met KCR at Pragathi Bhavan. KCR is taking inputs and suggestions from intellectuals who have complete knowledge of Indian politics.
