‘Byjus Tabs For Students’, Good Job Jagan!

Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy launched the third phase of Amma Vodi with pomp in Srikakulam district. He listed out the huge funds spent on various welfare schemes initiated by the YCP government and asserted that it was committed to the bright future of the students.

In tune with his claim, the CM said that all students entering Grade VIII would be provided with tabs worth Rs 12,000 with study material designed and prepared by India’s leading learning app, Byju’s. Jagan said that these tabs would be of great help to the students as it would make learning easy for them through strong visuals, chapter-wise tests, quizzes and worksheets.

Amma Vodi scheme has drawn applause from various quarters but its implementation is being criticized by the opposition leaders for various reasons like misuse of funds, borrowing heavily for funding the schemes, reducing the number of students eligible for the scheme by increasing restrictions, etc.

However, the government’s idea to distribute tabs laden with study material to the students needs to be hailed as it would certainly be of great help to them. The students will be given an opportunity to retain the tabs with them till they appear for the SSC/CBSE board examinations, which means it would be guided learning for the students for full three years.

Jagan said that the government would spend Rs 500 crore towards providing tabs to the students and this can be seen a good move towards educating the youth of the state, say educationists. The lack of teachers in various government schools can be compensated through the Byju’s tabs, they felt.

This apart, the installation of digital boards in the schools would also make learning much engaging and interesting, opined educationists. The CM’s focus on education and the various schemes designed for the purpose need to be appreciated, they added.
