On Friday AP CM YS Jagan was in Vizag and he took part in the YSR Vahana Mitra scheme launch. The officials and YCP Vizag wing made unprecedented arrangements for CM Jagan’s visit and shockingly a majority of the educational institutes in Vizag were forced to shut down the doors. The reason being the YCP and the officials used the buses of these educational institutes to transport the beneficiaries of YSR Vahana Mitra.
Regarding the closure of education institutions, the Deputy Transport Commissioner (DTC) had written a letter to the District Educational Officer (DEO) on 13th of this month and he requested the DEO to declare a holiday, so that the officials could use buses of 34 educational institutions.
Following the letter the DEO had declared holiday for cited 34 institutions and a few institutions which had less number of buses for transporting students, also announced a holiday. Other institutes have managed to transport the students by forcing drivers to go for additional trips.
In the recent past such incidents have become common. A few days back the police officials forcefully grabbed an Innova car from devotees who were on their way to Tirupati. And now this incident which is not shocking though but officials and police are making it a habit of hiring private buses and vehicles to make sure CM Jagan’s events will have full capacity.
