As the stage is all set for Ganta Srinivasa Rao into YSRCP, party chief Jagan’s close confidante and Vizag party in-charge Vijay Sai Reddy’s objection to Ganta’s entry into the party has been ignored by Jagan.
This is now adding fuel to the ongoing rumours that Jagan is slowly sidelining Vijay Sai Reddy in the state affairs in party. As Vijay Sai Reddy is getting more busy at national level and busy dealing with the Centre, Jagan seems to be looking for alternate leaders at the state level to handle the party and its affairs.
Also the fact that Ganta has approached Jagan directly surpassing the likes of Vijay Sai Reddy, it is seen as a setback to Vijay Sai Reddy. Avanti Srinivas is also ruling about Ganta’s entry and lashing out at Ganta accusing him of trying to escape from his scams in the previous government including the controversial land scam. Despite stiff opposition from own leaders like Vijay Sai Reddy and Avanti, Jagan accepting Ganta’s entry is seen as a big political development in the ruling party.
This is also an indication from Jagan that one need not go to Jagan through Vijay Sai Reddy alone. Certainly, Jagan is giving indications that no one can own the party other than himself. Thus, Vijay Sai Reddy’s dominance on YSRCP is coming down gradually. As several leaders in YCP are not happy with Vijay Sai Reddy, Jagan seems to have understood this and is balancing everyone’s concerns.
