Brand Hyderabad… Chandrababu Naidu

Telangana IT minister KTR pitches for brand Hyderabad a lot and while doing so, he claims that under the TRS government, Hyderabad emerged as the best city in the country in terms of growth and development. But what TRS and KTR don’t like to acknowledge is the vision behind it. Of course it’s none other than TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.

Noted Indian economist and former Deputy Chairman of the Planning Commission of India, Montek Singh Ahluwalia was all praise of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu and he narrated how Naidu worked to create the brand ‘Hyderabad’ image.

Montek Singh was in Hyderabad for a debate on Economic Reforms in India and as part of his speech, he mentioned Chandrababu’s name while talking about how visionary leaders look like.

“Working towards your dreams is a continuous process and Hyderabad is the best example of it. Behind the city’s glory, the efforts of Chandrababu are unparalleled. He is a bold and visionary person. Cyberabad is the result of reforms introduced by Chandrababu Naidu that enabled the city’s growth by leaps and bounds. Every employee who is working in the IT sector should be thankful to Chandrababu Naidu,” said Montek Singh.

Recollecting one incident Montek Singh added that Chandrababu Naidu left no opportunity to meet former Microsoft CEO Bill Gates who was touring India back then. “With a lot of difficulty Chandrababu managed to get Bill Gates appointment and this meeting lasted for 90 minutes. Naidu explained his whole vision for Hyderabad to Gates and the following event is, the Microsoft founder landed in Hyderabad,” said Montek.

Politically, Chandrababu may have committed mistakes but his style of administration and governance were always talked about. The way Chandrababu reacts when disaster strikes is something no CM in current times can compete with. Ahluwalia’s words make it clear that if there is anyone who added value to the brand Hyderabad, it would be Chandrababu.
