The 3rd Eye of Hyderabad

The long awaited Command and Control Centre of the Telangana State Police department will be inaugurated this afternoon by Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. This state of art facility was constructed at a cost of whopping Rs.600 crore.

Located at Road No 12 in Banjara Hills, the Centre has five towers A, B C, D and E. The tower A is the office of Hyderabad City Police Commissioner and hosts different wings of the city police. Tower B will have the Technology Fusion Centre with wings related to Dial 100, She (Teams) Safety, Cyber and Narcotics, Incubation Centre, Crimes Wing and others.

Tower C hosts an auditorium and museum. This museum  showcases the history of the Telangana Police and a 360-degree viewing gallery has also been set up on the 14th and 15th floors.

Media interaction and training centre are part of tower D while the last and final tower, E will have the Command Control and Data Centre for multi-departmental coordination, CCTV network monitoring. About 9.22 lakh cameras have been installed across Telangana as part of the Safe City Project. The CCTV network will be connected to this Command Control Centre and the police will be able to monitor and check around one lakh cameras at any point of time.

Besides this, a war room is also accommodated to house technology teams working in backend operations to support field policing. This war room will also act as a Disaster and Crisis Management Centre housing all related government departments.

Solar panels installed on top of the building will generate 0.5 Megawatts of power for the Centre while recycled material was used for construction and 35 per cent of the land is covered with plantations.
