The whole country is under lockdown since a month due to Corona virus. Yet the cases are increasing with each day passing and as per the data, the cases are doubling for every 10 days. In the last 24 hours, 1,684 cases have been filed. The Centre in its daily media briefing claimed that the lockdown is showing positive results.
If the lockdown was not imposed, then the number of Corona virus cases would have been at 73,000 by now, said NITI Ayoga member VK Paul. The recovery rate is 20.57 percent which is good at this pace and might increase the coming days.
The Centre also said in the last 14 days not even a single case has been posted in 80 districts across the country while 15 districts are free from Corona since 28 days. About 9.45 Lakh people are under observation.
Also the Centre has appointed four teams to observe the lockdown and availability of medical assistance, supply of essential commodities and security. These teams will be visiting five cities i.e, Ahmedabad, Surat, Thane, Hyderabad and Chennai as these cities have severity of the virus.
