Congress MP Komatireddy Venkat Reddy is seriously pained with the Telangana PCC affairs. Chief Revanth Reddy terming seniors as ‘Home Guards’ and Adanki Dayaki abusing Komatireddy Venkat Reddy at the Chandur public meeting were the main reasons.
Hurt Venkat Reddy has demanded the PCC chief Revanth Reddy to issue an unconditional apology and the Bhongir MP added that he is being forced to exit the party but Venkat Reddy clarified that he would stay in Congress no matter what irrespective of his brother Rajgopal Reddy’s political interests.
Venkat Reddy’s pressure has worked and PCC chief Revanth Reddy has come down. A short while ago Revanth posted a video on Twitter apologizing to Venkat Reddy. “My ‘Home Guard’ remarks and Adanki Dayakar’s language at Chandur meeting have hurt Komatireddy Venkat Reddy. On behalf of PCC, I would like to say sorry to Venkat Reddy,” said Revanth.
The PCC chief also said the party disciplinary committee will take over this whole controversy. “Venkat Reddy played an active role in Telangana agitation and insulting such leaders is unacceptable,” added Revanth Reddy.
Probably this is for the first time Revanth said sorry to any leader within his party after taking over the T-Congress reigns. Even before Revanth, Adanki Dayakar has apologized to Venkat Reddy but the T-Congress is yet to take action against him. Now the episode is with the disciplinary committee.
