The TRS party led by chief KCR has taken the Munugode by-election pretentiously because it would set a perfect battle for the December 2023 Assembly elections. Accordingly KCR is making strategic moves and he laid a first and big step to get the support of CPI party.
On Friday, KCR invited CPI leaders to Pragathi Bhavan and led talks. In this meeting KCR asked CPI’s support in the by-poll. CPI leaders Chada Venkat Reddy and Kunamneni accepted KCR’s proposal and they will be attending today’s TRS meeting with KCR in Munugode.
CPI has a long history with Munugode. The party has won five times from the constituency and has a substantial vote bank. In the 2018 elections, TRS lost to Komatireddy Rajgopal Reddy with a margin of 5191 votes and now with the support of CPI, TRS believes that it can change the equations and more importantly can defeat Rajgopal Reddy and the BJP.
And for today’s meeting in Munugode, CPI leaders Chada and others are travelling with KCR and they will be getting a chance to address the public. Also TRS made a tactical move to hold the public meeting in Munugode ahead of the BJP’s as it will have the attendance of Amit Shah.
Overall TRS and KCR are making wise decisions but will the party win at Munugode?
