Delhi Liquor Scam: KCR Family Involved?

The Delhi liquor scam is likely to put Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao and his family in trouble, ahead of the Munugode bypoll.

According to BJP leaders — West Delhi MP Parvez Sahib Singh Varma and ex-MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa, excise officials, Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal, his deputy Manish Sisodia, KCR and his family members, including his daughter and MLC K. Kavitha, were involved in the Delhi liquor scam.

Addressing mediapersons, they alleged that Kavitha even tried to reopen a brewery that got closed down in Punjab, by paying Rs 4.5 crore – Rs 3 crore in cash and Rs 1.5 crore in credit. It is being said that a room in Oberoi Hotel was booked for six months where the liquor policy was formulated.

There is buzz that the hotel room was booked by Kavitha and her followers. Reportedly, she used to frequently visit the hotel in Delhi by travelling in an aircraft arranged by one person associated with liquor mafia in Telangana.

Varma said that being a true friend of Sisodia, he would suggest that the Delhi deputy CM should apologise in front of the public and reveal the truth before the court regarding the liquor scam.

Varma also alleged that Sisodia received kickbacks of Rs 150 crore as first instalment from KCR’s family, who are N1 licence holders, after having discussed their share of the profits from the sale of liquor.

The liquor policy formulated for Delhi would also be implemented in Telangana, Punjab and West Bengal.
