The meeting of Union Minister Amit Shah with Jr NTR is still being debated in both the Telugu states. Though the BJP claims that Shah was mighty impressed by Tarak’s performance in the blockbuster ‘RRR’ and wanted to appreciate the Telugu hero personally, there seems to be an under current agenda of the BJP in this episode.
Tarak’s close friend and YCP leader Kodali Nani suspected the same. “Modi and Amit Shah usually don’t meet people who are of no use to them and their party BJP. The TDP chief is the best example. Chandrababu was in Delhi a few days ago but Shah did not give an appointment to him. Maybe the BJP wants to use the popularity of NTR who is a pan India star now and expand more in south India,” said Kodali.
The former minister further said, Tarak has done close to 30 films now and many of these films were dubbed in Hindi. “I don’t think it was a casual or usual meeting because many NTR films have been released in Hindi and his popularity is growing. BJP which is trying hard to form a government in Telangana and get opposition status in AP, might use NTR or his image in the future,” opined Kodali.
The YCP leader expressed his opinion bluntly but is there any truth in this? The BJP has to answer and from NTR’s side, he has no interest in politics as of now. However a section within TDP wants NTR to be an integral part of the party and express support openly. NTR has been staying silent on this for a long time now.
