Amit Shah To Meet Prabhas!

Union Home minister Amit Shah will be meeting Prabhas and will pay tributes to Krishnam Raju who breathed his last on Sunday. Krishnam Raju was a BJP leader and he worked as a central minister in late Vajpayee’s cabinet.

Amit Shah will be landing in Hyderabad on September 16th for the Telangana Liberation Day, the following day. Initially Shah’s schedule was fixed but it was modified this morning as Shah decided to meet Krishnam Raju family, primarily Prabhas. It is unclear whether Shah will reach out to Prabhas or the latter will call on the former but the meeting is scheduled on 16th.

BJP ministers meeting Tollywood celebrities have become frequent these days but this is not a political meeting and has absolutely no political significance. Shah will be just offering his condolences to Prabhas on the passing away of Krishnam Raju.

Krishnam Raju has a long association with the BJP. In 1998 he contested to Lok Sabha from Kakinada on BJP ticket and won with a thumping majority. From 2000 to 2002, he worked in ministries of External Affairs, Defence and Consumer Affairs. He played a significant role in the introduction of The Prohibition of Cow Slaughter Bill, 2000.
