The Jagan Reddy government has raked up a controversy by smearing the party colours to a government building yet again.
In the past, the High Court issued stern warning to the YCP government not to have party colours on government buildings but the orders seems to have fallen on deaf ears.
Officials in Tekkali, Srikakulam district, got the court complex decked up in the YCP colours after a decision was taken to shift the senior and junior civil judge courts to a building that fell vacant after the government headquarters hospital was moved to new premises.
The civil judge courts had been functioning from the mandal office premises during the TDP rule. However, the court officials sought allocation of a new building as the mandal office lacked facilities.
With a new building being constructed, the hospital was shifted to a different place and officials sanctioned Rs 9 lakh funds for the renovation of the old building.
The court officials were asked to move to the renovated building. When the public took the issue of YCP colours on the building, the R&B officials said they were not aware of the matter but promised to look into the issue and take necessary action.
