Munugode by-poll is worth Rs 1000 crore: Sharmila

YSRTP chief YS Sharmila predicted that the ruling party, TRS would win the Munugode by-election simultaneously she criticised the three major parties i.e, BJP, Congress and TRS for wasting the time of public and money. “Munugode by-poll is the biggest and most expensive election happening in the country right now and it is worth Rs 1000 crore,” said Sharmila.

When asked why her party is not contesting Munugode, Sharmila replied that this election is between muscle power and a political contract but not for the public. “First of all, why did this election come now? The main elections are just 13 months away. Instead of keeping Rajgopal Reddy’s resignation on hold, KCR got it approved only to prove his muscle power,” opined Sharmila.

On defections, Sharmila criticised the manner in which leaders are jumping from one party to another. “From Sarpanch to ZPTC to big leaders, many are switching loyals and it is shameful that these leaders are seeing their personal benefits,” said Sharmila.

Making it clear on 2023 elections, Sharmila clarified that her party, YSRTP would contest all the 119 Assembly segments all alone.
