Srisailam Fire Mishap: KCR Orders CID Probe

Nine people have died in the fire that broke in the Srisailam power project and the rescue operations are going on. The death tally was officially confirmed by the Telangana government and CM KCR has ordered for a CID probe in this whole mishap.

The rescue teams have recovered three dead bodies and the victims are identified as AE Mohan Kumar, AE Sundar and AE Uzam Fatima. The rest of the dead bodies are yet to be recovered and the rescue teams are trying their best in their operations.

When the mishap occurred there were about 30 staff. 15 people managed to escape from the tunnel while the security staff managed to help six other people and the rest got stuck in the fire.

Meanwhile for the CID probe, additional DG Govind Singh has been appointed as the head and regarding the Chief Secretary Somesh Kumar has passed on the orders.

Also AP CM YS Jagan has expressed shock on this incident. He was supposed to visit the Srisailam project today but it has been cancelled at the last minute. Jagan asked the AP officials to do all the possible help for the rescue operations.
