On Saturday, a fire broke into the Srisailam power project and in this mishap, nine employees have died. The Telangana government has ordered CID probe on this whole episode and also announced ex-gratia to the deceased.
When the mishap took place, there were about 30 staff and 21 of them managed to escape while 9 employees got stuck in the fire and suffocated to death. Yesterday, a cell phone of the deceased Sundar was recovered and it has a video. Though the visuals in the video are not clear, the voices are clearly audible.
‘Kashtam… Mana Pani Ayipoyindi.. Mohan Aashalu Vaduluko.. (It is difficult and our time is over. Mohan give up all the hopes),” says one employee to another. This audio is going viral and it can be understand what sort of situation were they in when the fire was rapidly spreading.
Meanwhile the CID team has begun its investigation on Sunday. The team also recovered the CCTV footage to rectify how the fire broke.
