Former Minister and TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh is all set for his Padayatra (walkathon). Lokesh is going to kick start his padayatra from 27th January, 2023 from Kuppam. The padayatra is from Kuppam in Chittoor district to Icchapuram in Srikakulam district. Lokesh is planning to stay among the public for about a year. The route map of the yatra has been designed in such a way that Lokesh would stay connected to people throughout a year. Since the next general elections are in 2024, Lokesh wants to stand by the people’s problems.
Youth are going to play a key role in this Yatra. Lokesh wants to make youth part of this. He wants to address and highlight the problems faced by farmers and women. TDP leaders are planning to make this yatra a huge success. Since he is also scion of TDP chief Chandrababu and future leader of the party, Naidu wants this yatra to become a grand success. Lokesh has already groomed his public-speaking skills. He wants to address crowds in Telugu.
According to TDP sources, Lokesh wants to contest from Mangalagiri Assembly constituency in the coming general elections. Though he had lost from Mangalagiri last time, he is keen on contesting from the same Assembly seat and wants to break the jinx. Lokesh is determined to make a strong comeback and silence his critics this time around. For now, the focus is on his Padayatra for which preparations have begun.
