YSRTP chief YS Sharmila in her first reaction to her uncle (Babai) YS Vivekananda Reddy’s brutal murder said that she has no clue who killed him. On the Supreme Court’s verdict of transferring the case from AP CBI to Hyderabad CBI court, Sharmila hoped that the truth would come out at the earliest.
“Sunitha (Viveka’s daughter) and her mother are victims. We need to give confidence to the victims. As far as I’m concerned, it is a good decision that the case was transferred from AP to Hyderabad because Sunitha believes that she wouldn’t get justice in AP and it is her right,” said Sharmila.
YSRTP chief did not find fault with her brother AP CM Jagan led YCP government for having indirect intentions in the case getting delayed. “I don’t think in that way but it was only Sunitha’s view that she would not get justice in AP. I took the side of Sunitha because she is a prime victim and as a family, I need to support her and her mother,” added Sharmila.
When asked about her testimony to the CBI in connection with the same case, Sharmila was reluctant to disclose the details. “Whatever I had to say, I did say before the CBI and it stays between me and the probe agency. Now the onus is on CBI to trace the culprits and justice should be served to Sunitha,” said Sharmila.
Sharmila’s statements are confusing and highly debatable. She was not critical of Jagan led YCP government but supported her cousin Sunitha and also believes that the Hyderabad CBI wing will crack this case. Too many in one!
