AP MP’s 6 Family Members Tested Positive

Family members of a Lok Sabha MP from Andhra Pradesh have tested positive for Covid-19. According to reports, 6 family members of the MP have been tested positive for Corona Virus. He is from ruling YSR Congress Party.

The district where the MP represents has highest number of cases in the state. After Tablighi Jamaat Markaz event that turned out to be the epicenter of Corona Virus spread in the country, the number of cases in the district in Andhra Pradesh have shot up drastically.

MP’s brothers, their wives, one is MP’s 14-year-old nephew and 83-year-old father. Total six members of the same family have tested positive. As condition of the octagenarian father is said to be serious, he has been rushed to a private hospital in Hyderabad where he is being given special treatment. The MP’s family is a doctor family. Of the six members, four members of the family who tested positive are doctors. This has shocked YCP netas and followers in the district.

This proved the severity of Corona Virus spread in the state. There have been various media reports of ruling party leaders violating the rules of lockdown and not maintaining social distance while distributing essentials to poor and needy. In the wake of positive cases within a sitting MP’s family, leaders of political parties and the people should take necessary precautions and follow government’s advisories.
